Green Leaf is a boutique real estate company located in Dominical, the entrance to the pristine southern pacific zone of Costa Rica. Dominical’s unique geography showcases an abundance of virgin rainforest, dramatic ocean views, waterfalls, rivers, unspoiled beaches and overwhelming biodiversity.

in our CommunityGreen Leaf is committed to the communities in which we live and work. We volunteer with a number of different organizations, events, and activities in the immediate area. By donating our time, as well as a percentage of all company profits, we try to lead by example, so that other companies may begin to understand the importance of people and place in their business models and integrate these costs into their bottom line.

We intend to increase our non-profit contribution each year until we reach 51% of ALL company profits being redirected into low income housing, community credit enterprises (micro-banking), agricultural programs and other non profit initiatives in the region. Only when we achieve this milestone, will we be achieving our goal of creating a carbon neutral business that has a regenerative effect on the environment and the community in which it operates.

Sustainable development is a pattern of resource use that aims to meet human needs while preserving the environment so that these needs can be met in the indefinite future. The term was used by the Brundtland Commission which coined oft-quoted definition as development that "meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.”
